Andrew Whiteman has been appointed to serve on the Grievance Committee of the Tenth Judicial District Bar.
The Tenth Judicial District Grievance Committee is made of attorneys and laypeople. This Committee receives referrals from the North Carolina State Bar of complaints made against local lawyers. The Committee holds monthly closed meetings to determine whether probable cause exists to believe that an investigated attorney has committed a violation of ethical rules of conduct. The Committee’s findings are reported to the N. C. State Bar Grievance Committee, which makes the final judgment on whether the investigated attorney should be sanctioned.
